SCOPE Cell

Science Communication and Professional Education (SCOPE) Cell is the front office of all the educational programs of the centre. The SCOPE Cell support the Centre’s doctoral programs and handles the intake of JRF of doctoral students in coordination with academic committee and as per HBNI guidelines.  The SCOPE Cell takes care of the complete administrative procedure of advertisement of the JRF openings till the admission of all selected students. 

The academic programs are dynamic and constantly evolving.  The doctoral programs and courses offered at the institute have the flexibility to evolve and change as per the requirements with elective options.  The programs reflect the institute’s commitment to stay in tune with the expanding frontiers of cancer biology. 

The SCOPE Cell also handles the intake of trainees and keeps a track of all the activities related to the training program. The SCOPE Cell provides logistic support for the educational visits on request basis from various educational institutions from India as a science outreach program.

The SCOPE Cell maintains close liaison with core infrastructure groups of the Centre to ensure smooth conduct of all the scientific meetings and seminars held at ACTREC.   The SCOPE cell ensures the timely provision of vital data and reports about the centre to government and other agencies as and when required.  SCOPE Cell handle the routine maintenance of ACTREC website and update the webpages of Principal Investigators’, Departments, scientific meeting, JRF intake related information and routine uploads of tenders and advertisements.  The SCOPE cell also supports the preparation of schedule for the institutional seminars and circulates the events to all at the centre.  Every year in the month of November/ December Open Day is organised to showcase the science & scientific activities conducted at the centre to Mumbai & Navi Mumbai degree college students on invitations basis. The research aspiring students are encouraged to take research as a career in this Open Day program.
